I build systems
that compound
freedom.

From low-level protocols to real-world products, I work across infrastructure, blockchain, native apps and AI to turn ideas into systems people actually use.

of cryptography,
distributed systems,

About

I'm Mohammad Abdul Sahil, an engineer in Hyderabad. At Garden I run the infrastructure, security and internal tools behind a cross-chain Bitcoin swap protocol. I joined as an intern in 2024 and have done whatever the system needed since: cutting cloud spend, moving production to bare metal, rebuilding access around zero trust.

Outside work I build in the open. I maintain OpenStrap Edge, a health app for your wearables with no subscription, and I build things like BeamCam and Obscura. Lately I spend as much time on product, shipping MVPs and working with contributors as I do on code.

$2B+
Swap volume on Garden, the protocol whose infrastructure I run
~90%
Infra cost cut: AWS at ~$3K a month, then $1.5K, then under $300 on one bare-metal box
700+
GitHub stars on OpenStrap Edge
130+
Merged pull requests from outside contributors
